Yudansha / Wakatake Kan Black Belts
The Following students have achieved the yudansha level and represent Wakatake Kan as black belts in Motobu Udunti. As big an achievement as this is; this is only the beginning of the lifelong journey in the martial way.
Hector Bauza
Achieved roku-dan on 23 Mar 2020 and is the Kancho, head of the house, for Wakatake Kan. Bauza sensei is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Uehara Seikichi Memorial Association
Roberto Andino
Achieved sho-dan on 23 Mar 2025 and serves as Senpai for Wakatake Kan
Masahiro Abe
Achieved sho-dan on 20 May 2025 and serves as Instructor Pilot for the Japanese Air Self Defense Force (JASDF)
Yudansha (Dan ranks) explore deeper concepts in the waza (technique) , and assist the Kancho in the running of the school to help keep Uehara Osensei's legacy alive through generations
